The P.E.A.C.E Community Violence Intervention Mentorship Program is a transformative initiative focused on reducing community violence, with a specific emphasis on preventing gun violence, while strengthening youth development through evidence-based intervention and mentoring strategies. P.E.A.C.E stands for Protecting Every Adolescent through Conflict Resolution, Education, and Mentoring. The program uses trauma-informed, prevention-focused, and relationship-based approaches to support young people and communities most impacted by violence,
including exposure to and risk of gun violence. Through structured mentorship, conflict resolution education, and strategic community partnerships, P.E.A.C.E works to interrupt cycles of violence, reduce retaliation, and promote safe decision-making and peaceful conflict resolution. By connecting youth, families, schools, and community partners, the program builds coordinated systems of support that foster safety, healing, and long-term community transformation, while working toward the reduction of all forms of violence, especially gun violence.
