A Life of Service

Dr. Alma G. Stallworth was more than a founder—she was a visionary who understood that true empowerment begins with education and opportunity. Born in 1932, she dedicated over five decades to public service, education, and community advocacy.

As an educator, legislator, and community leader, Dr. Stallworth broke barriers and created pathways for others to follow. Her unwavering commitment to equity and justice inspired countless individuals to pursue their dreams and make a difference in their communities.

In 1985, she established the Black Caucus Foundation of Michigan, creating a lasting institution that continues to uplift communities through internships, mentorship, and policy advocacy. Her legacy lives on in every student mentored, every policy reformed, and every life transformed.

Her impact extends far beyond her lifetime, touching generations of leaders, educators, and advocates who carry forward her vision of a more just and equitable society.
