Hands On Experience

Developing Principles

Attending a leadership summer camp for teens is one way teens can further develop leadership skills by working on real-world projects. Teens can experience brainstorming, decision-making, setting goals, and working with other team members. This also gives them an opportunity to plan a complete project and deliver a professional presentation, as if they were working in a corporate office or pitching to a venture capitalist about their idea. By experiencing a leadership summer camp before arriving at college or entering the workforce, it gives teens the confidence to speak positively about their skill sets and what they have to offer. Many studies show that experiential learning is an effective method for teaching and developing leadership skills and positive attitude in teens.
